Debenhams has implemented an advanced task management system so that it can communicate a consistent corporate strategy to its stores.

The RetailAction Manager system, provided by retail execution management firm Reflexis Systems, has been rolled out to more than 140 stores.

It is designed to improve sales and maximise efficiency by providing one clear channel of communication between upper levels of management and stores. The system will only provide store managers with information they need, giving them more time to spend on the shopfloor.

Reflexis cites analyst estimates that between 2 and 5 per cent of a retailer’s revenue is lost because its corporate strategy has been executed inconsistently. The company said its system can overcome this problem and can be deployed in less than 21 weeks.

“Debenhams is known for providing shoppers with a wide range of internationally recognised brands and superior customer service,” said Reflexis Systems European director of operations OP Choudhary. “We look forward to helping it improve its operational productivity.”
