Boots UK, the UK health and beauty arm of Alliance Boots, has restructured its marketing and trading teams as part of its ambition to become the world’s leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer.

The two teams will be brought together under a joint umbrella, known as commercial. The trading team, led by Boots trading director Ian Filby and the marketing team, headed by marketing director Elizabeth Fagan, will work together under commercial.

Boots trading team will consist of health, beauty, mass appeal, Boots.com, customer offer development and commercial best practice. It will also include a Boots brands and exclusives team, headed by director Nick Collard, who will report to Boots UK trading director Ian Filby.

This team will be responsible for driving the development of Boots’ own-brands, including No7, Soltan and Botanics, as well as brands that are exclusive to Boots, such as The Sanctuary, Soap & Glory and FCUK.

Boots marketing team will comprise three areas: loyalty and insights, customer communications and in-store marketing. The structure has been realigned to drive product and brand development from a customer-led strategy.
