Boots recruits Rocket for 'work convenience' trial

Boots has linked up with innovative food retailer Rocket, which is selling its meal kits at the health and beauty retailer's prototype 'work convenience store' in London's Holborn.

Boots has given over an entire chiller cabinet to Rocket and, if the test is a success, Rocket will be introduced in other stores.

A Rocket spokesman said: 'We are excited about the Boots trial. It is a retailer with a successful lunch business, that has identified an opportunity for dinner sales. This complements Rocket's strategy for finding convenience channels ideal for busy commuters.'

Rocket has outlets in 10 London railway stations and a presence in five Total Bonjour forecourt stores.

Boots opened the Holborn convenience store in July and could replicate the format in 150 city centre stores.
