Practicology has expanded to deliver ecommerce consultancy and digital marketing services to retailers and brands in China.

The ecommerce consultancy has partnered with Hong Kong-listed consumer goods supply chain group Luen Thai on a joint venture in the country.

It has opened a head office in Guangzhou which employs 15 members of staff who will be overseen by Practicology’s general manager for Greater China, Arthur Cheung.

The multilingual team will advise and support retailers and brands that want to trade via Chinese marketplaces, localised online stores or WeChat.

Practicology chairman Martin Newman said: “I am delighted to have partnered with Luen Thai to bring Practicology to China.

“Our Guangzhou operation expands on our existing capability to service clients in the Asia Pacific region, and we are already in discussion with many Western brands who want on-the-ground support to exploit digital opportunities in China.”

Launching the online store of global footwear brand Sketchers in China has been the ecommerce consultancy’s inaugural project in the country.

“The launch of the new Skechers online store demonstrates our knowledge and capability to partner with brands and trade online in China,” said Newman.
