OneBeyond has opened its 100th store

The store at the Vancouver Quarter shopping centre in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, opened on July 7.

OneBeyond has invested a six-figure sum in its opening, creating 30 local retail jobs.

The new store is part of the value retailer’s wider expansion strategy, with plans to open an additional 20 stores by the end of the year and have a portfolio of 150 by the end of 2024.

OneBeyond was founded in 2018 by former trading director at Poundworld Christopher Edwards. It offers more than 4,000 products for £1, as well as a range of beauty, cleaning, toys, tech accessories and home and pet items priced over £1.

Turnover in 2022 was £103.6m and the group expects a turnover of £125m by the end of 2023.

Founder and chief executive Edwards said: “It’s exciting to open our 100th store, four years after we first launched the business.

“Our continual expansion and rapid positive growth since launch in 2019 is testament to the exceptional value we offer customers on a great choice of handpicked bargains.

“We look forward to opening a further 50 stores by the end of 2024.”
