Shop Electric takes control of its warehousing

Electricals retailer Shop Electric has acquired the supplier of its warehousing and services functions, B2C, in an effort to reinforce its appeal to franchisees.

The£100 million-turnover business, which has 62 stores in Ireland and the UK, said the acquisition of B2C will strengthen its services arm.

Managing director Dave Crompton said Shop Electric was ' attracting a high level of interest from franchisees that are keen to be a part of the group's success'.

B2C specialises in deliveries, warehousing, warranties and call centre support.

Former B2C managing director Andrew Chadwick has been appointed finance director at Shop Electric.
