Retail Week Interiors - Tanner Krolle unleashes 'dynamic' London stores

Luxury handbag and leather accessories brand Tanner Krolle has opened two London stores this month, on Sloane Street and on the site of a former Louis Vuitton store in the City's Royal Exchange.

According to designers Caulder Moore, the stores offer 'a transient and dynamic gallery area, delivering a modern backdrop' to the merchandise.

Both stores are housed in Victorian buildings, providing a contrast with the high-tech design, which uses glass, concrete and silver, and features floating displays, where translucent white glass walls are backwashed with colour. Above this, opal-frosted glass showcases images and film.

'Some store designs get in the way of the product. At Tanner Krolle, we wanted a flexible but beautiful space, which could change with the seasons,' said Tanner Krolle chief executive Guy Salter.

The openings come just over a year after the launch of the Burlington Gardens outlet, which followed Chanel's sale of the business to Salter and Rupert Hambro & Partners.
