Warner Estate Holdings has kickstarted its£6 million redevelopment of The Square Shopping Centre at Sale in Cheshire, with a letting to Peacocks and the relocation of Wilkinson and Quality Save to larger stores.
Warner Estate is planning to extend the 18,580 sq m shopping centre by more than 33 per cent, adding 5,990 sq m of new space.
Wilkinson has pre-let 2,320 sq m on a 20-year lease at£190,000 per annum.
Peacocks has pre-let a 605 sq m unit on a 15-year lease at£70,000, while Quality Save has signed a new 20-year lease on 990 sq m at£100,000 per annum.
Warner Estate has also let eight smaller units totalling 470 sq m to local retailers for a total annual rent of£113,500. Warner Estate asset manager James Ward said: 'To sign up major retailers such as Wilkinson, Peacocks and Quality Save confirms our belief in the area.'
