Lettings at USS's£25 million New Row extension to Telford Shopping Centre, which at more than 92,900 sq m will catapult the scheme into the ranks of regional shopping centres, is steaming ahead according to letting agents DTZ Debenham Tie Leung.
DTZ associate director Fergus Keane, joint letting agent with Blair Kirkman, said: 'The letting programme for the extension is going extraordinarily well, with 11 out of 15 units either under offer or having offers considered.'
The New Row extension will be anchored by a 7,430 sq m Beatties department store, which opens this autumn. Lettings for the extension, due to open in September, will be announced shortly, said USS fund manager Guy Williams.
One tenant at the New Row extension is Druckers Cafe, with a 260 sq m ground floor area at£90,000 a year, plus turnover top up.
Lettings have also been announced for a number of existing units at Telford Shopping Centre. The new tenants include Eisenegger, Bodycare Dr & Herbs and Bear Factory.
Retail units in the New Row extension have been let on five-yearly upward only rent reviews.
