Lend Lease has signed up four new retailers at Touchwood in Solihull as part of its plan to refresh the retail offer 18 months after the 50,000 sq m mall opened.
Dutch culinary gift shop Oil & Vinegar has opened its first store in the West Midlands and only its fourth store in the UK at the centre, taking a 165 sq m two-storey unit in the Crescent Arcade. Designer childrenswear retailer Bratz has taken an 85 sq m unit in Poplar Arcade. A Must oriental restaurant is to open a 230 sq m unit in the lower dining terrace. And Wall's has taken 22 sq m unit in Mill Lane Arcade as part of the roll-out of its new luxury ice cream retail format.
Touchwood general manager Ray Cliff said: 'We have performed extremely strongly in the first quarter of 2003, recording a total sales increase of more than 8 per cent, almost double the figures reported by the BRC.'
