Property News - Clydebank revamp attracts new tenants

Co-operative Insurance Society has started its letting campaign at the newly refurbished Clyde Shopping Centre, Clydebank, signing up Bonmarche and JJB Sports.

Bonmarche has agreed to take a 15-year lease on 92 Sylvania Way, which has a net internal area of 390 sq m. The value fashion retailer is paying£112,500 a year. JJB Sports has agreed terms on a 15-year lease on the 1,115 sq m Unit 16a on Carinthia Way.

The Clyde Shopping Centre was developed in the late 1970s and was extended in the 1980s. It is anchored by Asda, Woolworths, Primark, Bhs, Co-op and UCI Cinemas.

The£18 million refurbishment will create an additional 5,000 sq m of retail space and will involve enclosing the mall space. A new multi-storey car park will provide an additional 650 spaces.

DTZ was the letting agent. Bonmarche was advised by Colliers CRE, while JJB Sports represented itself.
