Pilot poised to open new-style stores

Fashion retailer Pilot is poised to open a raft of new-style stores, following the success of a redesign that was unveiled in Brighton in August (pictured). The look has already been adopted at stores in Birmingham's Bullring and Telford. New-look stores will open this month and next on Oxford Street, in Nottingham and Lakeside, and a further three will open before Christmas in Croydon, Coventry and Newcastle. 'Concealed lighting and contemporary fittings and fixtures give the store a more modern, desirable edge,' said chief executive Jeremy Whaley. The new openings, with the exception of Coventry, are relocations from existing smaller stores.
