The Cotswold Company has announced key changes to its leadership team with three new senior hires.

Matt Pollington joins The Cotswold Company from Made.com

The furniture and homeware brand has appointed Jim Sharp, Matt Pollington and Mike Ellis as chair, chief marketing officer and director of merchandising respectively.

Sharp joins from Schroeder’s and Jimmy Choo and has previously chaired retailers such as Seraphine, Feelunique, In The Style and YouGarden. 

Sharp will work closely with chief executive Ralph Tucker and investors. He will be responsible for delivering the brand’s future growth plans and building on the growth of the past five years.

Pollington’s previous role was at Made.com as the global director of customer and marketing.

Pollington said: “I am thrilled to be joining The Cotswold Company to help customers bring to life the vision of their home. In a crowded market, I’m looking forward to shining a light on the brand’s uncompromising quality and service, placing them front of mind for homewares inspired by the rhythm of life and nature.”

Ellis previously had senior merchandising roles in Sainsbury’s and The White Company. He is tasked with leading the merchandising team.

He said: “I’m excited to be joining one of the country’s most well-loved brands, being part of the company’s mission to build furniture that lasts through sustainable practices is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference.”

Tucker added: “We’re delighted to have Jim, Matt, and Mike on board, all three are fantastic additions to our leadership team, they bring a wealth of experience from across the retail industry and truly understand how to continue to drive The Cotswold Company forward. The team are joining at a time of growth in our company and we’re really looking forward to seeing their vision for the brand.”
