eBay European boss poached by Asda owner TDR Capital

The head of eBay Europe, Rob Hattrell, is leaving the marketplace giant to join private equity firm and Asda co-owner TDR Capital in the autumn.

Retail Week can reveal that Hattrell will be joining TDR as a partner from September and will leave eBay after five years at the business. 

An eBay spokesman confirmed Hattrell’s departure, saying: “eBay can confirm that Rob Hattrell will leave eBay next month to pursue a new opportunity. Rob led the UK business for three years until 2020 when he took over responsibility for all European markets.
