Oil & Vinegar sets sights on 90 UK stores

Oil & Vinegar, the Dutch retailer of fashionable food, wants a total of 90 UK stores within three years.

It has opened three franchise stores so far and plans its first wholly-owned shop in Solihull, West Midlands in March.

Martin Bloom of consultancy SISIM, which is acting as the agent for Dutch holding company Francisco Franchise, said the 80 sq m to 120 sq m stores would be predominantly opened in shopping centres with franchise partners.

He said the expansion would be funded in various ways, including shareholder capital, franchisee investment and debt.

Oil & Vinegar has 25 stores in Holland, one in Germany and one in Sweden.
