Jessops shuffles purchasing after Mason departs

Jessops purchasing director Julia Scott is to extend her responsibilities to cover the Jessops-branded range, following the retirement of fellow director Chris Mason.

Mason has stepped down after 26 years, during which time he rose to become director of own-brand product, which includes about 1,400 items.

Scott, who has also been with Jessops for 26 years, will manage own-brand product manager Craig Harrison, as well as take strategic responsibility for developing and printing.

Chief executive Derek Hine said Mason had made a 'tremendous contribution' to the company.

Jessops recently also appointed Symon Powell as brand development director.
