Ikea will open its first store in the northern region of Galicia in July.
The furniture and furnishings retailer has invested e60m (£52m) in the store on a 323,000 sq ft site and it will create 400 jobs.
The Spanish press has reported that Ikea wants to open 12 new stores in the country by 2015, at an investment of €2bn (£1.76bn), bringing the country’s total to 25.
