Gourmet food is order of the day
Landmark London department store Harrods is to make a move into the convenience market by opening a standalone food format.

The shop, called Harrods 102, will open opposite the world-famous site on Brompton Road in February.

Gourmet products and services will be on offer to shoppers, including trendy health food brands and a Yo Sushi! concession.

Plans for an oxygen spa inside the shop are also being considered. Shoppers would pay to receive 10-minute blasts of high-concentration oxygen through masks.

The shop, open from 7 am until 11.30 pm, will include a dining area for up to 40 people so customers have the option of eating-in.
