Amazon Go to open first UK store this week

Amazon Go store

Amazon will open its first in a tranche of contactless grocery stores in the UK this week.

The first UK branch of Amazon Go will make its debut in Ealing, west London.

The arrival of the format in the UK has been much anticipated. Amazon Go stores allow customers to shop and leave without queuing. In-store cameras and sensors track what they take from the shelves and they are then charged using the Amazon mobile app.
