Matchesfashion has partnered with luxury resale platform Sellier in a bid to boost its luxury pre-loved offering of “the most coveted accessories on the market”.

The first launch as part of the partnership will be available for shoppers online from August 9, 2023, offering “a highly curated collection of rare handbags and accessories”.

The partnership brings “the best pre-loved super-brand offering on the market exclusively to the Matches customer” and shoppers will have the chance to shop a range of luxury brands including Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

Sellier said in a statement that the collection launching on Matches has been “handpicked exclusively” by its co-founders, mother and daughter, Dina Ibrahimova and Hanushka Toni, in partnership with the luxury fashion retailer.

Shoppers can also expect to find collectable items as well as collaboration pieces as part of the launch.

Sellier co-founder and chief executive Toni said: “This is a really exciting moment for Sellier. I am delighted to be partnering with Matches to offer their customers our thoughtfully considered collection of handbags and accessories.

“It’s fantastic to be able to cater to the eco-conscious shopper who doesn’t want to compromise on style.”

The partnership comes as Matchesfashion’s private equity owner Apax Partners invested £60m into the business in January this year in a bid to revive the fashion giant under former Asos boss and Matchesfashion chief executive Nick Beighton’s leadership.

Matchesfashion also onboarded former Asos global brand creative director John Mooney as its new executive creative director in February this year.
