Young fashion brand Gio Goi is to make its retail debut with the opening of a shop in Aberdeen in mid-October, ahead of a possible wider roll out.

The brand, worn by celebrities such as Rihanna (pictured), will open a 2,800 sq ft store in Hammerson’s Union Square, replacing a Faith shop. It will open with the autumn collection.

The brand is currently sold in 300 stockists in the UK including Asos, House of Fraser and USC.

Goi Goi brand and marketing consultant Jo Bohling said: “We’re using it as a test bed. This will drive the brand forward as it’s just the website showcasing the full range.” He added the brand plans to open stores in London. Culverwell and Lunson Mitchenall acted for Hammerson.
