Footwear specialist Dr Martens has unveiled a new executive leadership team and moved to a “market general manager structure” in a bid to “simplify [its] operating model”.

The retailer named Nathalie Schneider as its new France general manager, Kristin Staeren as Dach general manager (Germany), and Giorgio Trevisan as general manager of its Italian business.
It also confirmed Retail Week’s story from March 27 that it had promoted Nick Duff as UK general manager.
Dr Martens said that “all four are internal promotions and their talent and experience will be instrumental to growing consumers in their markets”.
The brand also recently appointed Yoichi Oikawa as its new Japan general manager, while its US market continues to be run by Paul Zadoff, president of Americas.
Dr Martens said that “these six markets are each significant for our business, accounting for over 80% of global revenues, and the new market structure will ensure each market is run by a dedicated leader and team”.
The retailer also announced that it was simplifying its leadership structure with a newly created executive team led by chief executive Ije Nwokorie.
Nwokorie said: “Over the past year, we have reorganised our business and ways of working so that we are truly consumer-first, as opposed to channel-led. I am excited to work alongside our leadership team, combining experienced Dr Martens leaders and world-class talent from some of the most desired global brands.
“They will each play a significant role in helping us to deliver against our strategy and scale the business in the years ahead.”
