Asos has poached Britvic’s chief financial officer Mathew Dunn to take up the same role at the fashion etailer early next year.

Dunn will join the online retailer after three years at Britvic, with senior finance roles at businesses including SabMiller, EMI Music and South African Breweries under his belt.

The retailer’s incoming chief financial officer will take up his new role next spring, with his start date to be confirmed.

Dunn will report to Asos chief executive Nick Beighton, formerly the chief financial officer of the business, in his new role.

Speaking of his appointment, Beighton said: “I’m looking forward to working with Mathew. He brings us a totally relevant mix of operational experience together with a history of implementing and overseeing finance systems at an international level.”

Dunn added: “I’m very much looking forward to working with the Asos team. I’m motivated by their ambitious plans to realise the significant potential still ahead for the company”.
