Linda Bennett founded her eponymous fashion brand LK Bennett in 1990. While the retailer sells clothing, handbags and accessories, it is most noted for its women’s shoes. It describes itself as the “British affordable luxury brand”, positioned between the designer market and the high street. Its aspiration is “to empower and inspire confident femininity for the new era of women’s women; making understated luxury and sophisticated styling accessible”. LK Bennett collapsed into administration in 2019. The administration only impacted the retailer’s UK business, with its international operations unaffected. LK Bennett’s Chinese franchise owner Rebecca Feng eventually acquired the UK and Ireland operations in April 2019. The retailer currently operates standalone stores and concessions in the UK, Europe and the US, and wholesales its products worldwide. It has an online presence with two websites, one servicing the US and Canada and the other the UK and the rest of the world.
