Fat Face is a multichannel lifestyle retailer offering its own brand of good quality, casual clothing, footwear and accessories. It was founded in 1988 selling T-shirts at French ski resort Méribel and opened its first retail store in London in 1993. The retailer operates a chain of 216 stores in the UK and a six-strong network in Ireland plus its online site. There is also a growing US business that now comprises 11 standalone stores and a dedicated website. Fat Face’s vision that “absolutely everything we do is designed to be loved by all our customers outside 9-5” is central to its ethos and underpins product development, the unique store environment and the differentiated service style offered to customers. The retailer has heavily invested in its distribution infrastructure and its multichannel capabilities, replatforming its website in 2017 and opening a new distribution centre. Fat Face is also staunchly committed to full-price trading, waiting until after Christmas to start its seasonal sale.
