Charles Tyrwhitt (Financials)
Total sales soared 71.9% in the 52 weeks to 30 July 2022 (FY2022), as sales more than doubled (+107.9%) in the UK and grew 42.7% in international markets. The strong results ended a three-year run of declining sales. The impressive recovery in FY2022 was against a tough FY2021, which had been impacted by “the macro economic challenges of Covid-19” and related closure of the retailer’s 27- store estate for a significant part of the financial year. Profitability improved year on year for the 2022 financial year despite supply chain disruption, global political uncertainty and inflationary pressures.
