Brand licensing on the cards for Ann Summers

Lingerie and sex toys retailer Ann Summers aims to spread its wings with a string of product endorsements. Ideas being mooted include a signature car, drink or luggage range.

Ann Summers plans to license the brand to third parties, and proposals are on the table from drink manufacturers and magazine publishers.

- Gordon Lee, former head of communications at Virgin Cosmetics, is understood to be joining Ann Summers in September in a brand development role.
