Bonmarche gets fresh with shop redesign trials

Womenswear chain Bonmarche plans to launch a redesigned store look next year, following a trial over the next few months.

Managing director David Pidgeon, appointed to the 286-store chain last March, said the design was at the planning stage but will include new fixtures and a fresh look.

'We will test it between now and Christmas, and when we feel it will work well, we will roll it out,' he said.

'Without putting too much on the cost, we can make the stores look nicer and display our stock more effectively,' he explained.

Bonmarche was bought by Peacocks last year.
