Liverpool group takes control of symbol group

Symbol group Costcutter has been acquired by Liverpool-based Bibby Line, which has taken a 51 per cent stake in the company.

The existing management team and shareholders of executive chairman Colin Graves, managing director Nick Ivel, sales and development director David Thompson and Angela Barber, trading and marketing director, will continue to operate the business.

In a statement, Costcutter said the deal represented a strengthening of the existing contract with Nisa Today’s from all shareholders.
