Baron Jon opens three stores in expansion push

Menswear retailer Baron Jon will open three additional stores by June and hopes to increase this to four by the end of the year, according to managing director Wayne Selt.

The 26-store chain already has a further two in solicitors' hands, set to open next year, but hopes to open a total of five in 2004.

Selt declined to say where the new stores would be, other than that their locations 'fill in the dots'. The three set to open by June each measure approximately 185 sq m. Baron Jon has 26 shops at present.

As part of the 'comfortable expansion plan', Baron Jon is boosting its middle management team by promoting staff into regional positions.
