The discount fashion lines are “significantly better value” than Poundland’s rivals, including Primark, F&F at Tesco and George at Asda

The fashion offering will include all 56 former Wilko locations that have re-opened as Poundland stores.

Customers of Poundland UK and Irish Dealz can shop new ranges from lifestyle and athleisure brands such as Cardio Bunny and Bekkin.

The discounter has also ensured that every store offering clothing – including the 75-plus Poundland stores opening in the coming weeks – has double the amount of space available to showcase baby and kidswear.

These new fashion ranges will include Pepco’s kidswear brand Kukukid, as well as new licensed products such as Harry Potter, Gremlins, Tom & Jerry and the Moomins, Disney, Warner and Star Wars.

Shoppers will see new fashion products arriving every week.

Competitive pricing

Recent Poundland pricing surveys show that the new ranges are “significantly better value” than competitors including Primark, F&F at Tesco and George at Asda.

The retailer has been able to reduce its average selling prices by 10% as it leverages the scale of Pepco Group’s buying power for its 4,600-plus stores across Europe.

The new clothing includes: kids outerwear from £9; knitwear – women’s from £5 and men’s from £7; men’s and women’s t-shirts are £2.50; joggers are £7; and Christmas kids’ jumpers from £6.

Poundland commercial director Tim Bettley said: “As we’ve transitioned to these new ranges over the past three months, it’s been clear our customers have appreciated the lower prices and new ranges – especially in baby and kidswear.

“By taking advantage of the scale of our parent company, we’re able to double down on the promise we make to deliver the amazing value we’re famous for.”
