Tesco's Asian venture acquires 12 more stores

Tesco has announced that it is expanding its Homeplus joint venture with Samsung by acquiring 12 stores from Aram Mart in South Korea. The venture has acquired three compact hypermarkets and nine supermarkets based in and around Pusan, in the southwest of the country. The retailer said that all store staff who wish to remain at the stores will be retained after the transition.
