Amazon has created a new fleet of e-cargo bikes and on-foot delivery staff to replace van deliveries in London.

The etail giant has opened a âmicromobilityâ hub in Hackney to create more sustainable deliveries in the nationâs capital.
Alongside Amazonâs fleet of electric vehicles, the ecargo bikes and walkers will make over a million deliveries per year, across around a tenth of Londonâs ultra-low emission zones.
The new fleet is designed to directly replace van deliveries, reducing carbon emissions and congestion on London roads.
Amazon is planning to roll out the initiative to more locations in the coming months.
Amazon UK country manager John Boumphrey said: âAmazon is driving towards a global net-zero carbon future. One way weâre doing that is through the transformation of our transportation networks. Our new ecargo bikes, walkers and growing electric vehicle delivery fleet will help us make more zero emission customer deliveries than ever before across London and the UK in the coming months.â
