US department store operator Neiman Marcus has partnered with tech firm T1Visions to install interactive retail tables in three of its stores.

The tables feature an application that allows customers to browse Neiman Marcus’s inventory. Customers can add items to their My Favourites wish list, which can be emailed with product links so that they can look at them or purchase at a later date.

The software also supports a recommendation engine based on search results. The table provides store associates with up-to-the-minute inventory beyond what is available in-store, including what is coming soon.

The touch tables can also be used to share the latest trends with shoppers.

“Whether it’s a product in another store location or from our online inventory, our goal is to provide customers with omnichannel access to the best merchandise in the world,” said Neiman Marcus group chief marketing officer Wanda Gierhart.

“With our touch tables, we deliver another layer of exceptional customer service.”

The tables feature a 32” Ultra HD 4K touchscreen covered by a single continuous pane of glass and are powered by T1Visions retail software application OneShop.

The tables have been installed in the retailer’s Austin, Chicago, and Topanga branches.
