Global sportswear and athleisure brand Lululemon has opened a new, upsized store in Covent Garden, London.

The 8,330 sq ft store has opened on Long Acre within The Yards in Covent Garden and is a 130% upsize for Lululemon, which trades across two floors in the space.

The store offers an extensive range of both womenswear and menswear, as well as accessories for a variety of sports activities such as running, training and yoga.

The new site is also the brand’s first in Europe to offer water bottle personalisation in store.

Lululemon’s new location is set to be a “hub for the community” with events such as running clubs and exercise sessions due to be hosted in store.

The brand is also taking part in the Connect at The Yards one-day wellness and culture event on July 7, which brings together fitness and wellness brands from across Covent Garden for a programme of fitness classes, workshops, music and art.

Lululemon senior vice-president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Sarah Clark said: “Covent Garden holds a special place in our hearts as it’s where Lululemon opened its very first European store back in 2014.

“We’re delighted to open this new, larger location, with more than double the space of our previous store to showcase our full all-gender offering for run, yoga, training, casual and more.

“Intended as a hub for the local community, our talented team are excited to build connections with new and existing guests.”

CBRE asset manager Abi Labbett added: “As a central day-to-night hub in the West End, we are committed to ensuring The Yards consistently offers something new and unique to not only its visitors but also its neighbourhood of workers and residents.

“As a leading sector brand, Lululemon continues to pave the way in activewear while crucially championing innovative customer engagement, which for The Yards’ community, is a key component.

“We are pleased to welcome Lululemon’s upsized store, marking yet another leading brand to reinvest and recommit to The Yards.”
