My-Wardrobe co-founder Andrew Curran exits etailer after four months

Curran, who set up My-Wardrobe with ex-wife Sarah, was brought into the business as chief executive by its new owner Growth Capital Acquisitions. The firm acquired My-Wardrobe out of administration last November. Curran is thought to have left in recent weeks to pursue other interests in etail and is eyeing further non-executive roles. He is currently chairman of homewares retailer Amara.

It is understood that Steven Tucker, who is thought to be a financial backer of My-Wardrobe, has taken over the day-to-day running of the business.

Curran’s exit is understood to be a pre-cursor to My-Wardrobe’s fashion director Carmen Borgonovo’s departure late last month.

Curran had vowed that My-Wardrobe would stop discounting and said he was refocusing product around its core customer after its prices had drifted too high.

Sarah Curran, who left My-Wardrobe last July, joined Very owner Shop Direct in December to help woo luxury brands to its business.
