Matches is a luxury fashion retailer for men and women, selling more than 600 designer brands across 170 countries, with retail sales approaching £400m in the year to end-January 2023 (FY2022). Yet as losses mounted, the retailer was acquired by Frasers Group in a £52m deal in December 2023. As trading continued to deteriorate, Frasers called in the administrators in March 2024, with a buyer now sought.
