Global online marketplace AliExpress has launched a new scheme to match and compete with Amazon’s prices.

The channel, called Brand+, is set to offer the retailer’s most comprehensive brands, savings and price-matching programme so far.

UK shoppers will be able to buy thousands of branded products through its price-match commitment, including products from Pop Mart, Kodak, Samsung, Lenovo and Vileda.

Ali Express said Brand+ is aimed at bargain hunters and brand lovers looking for deals in the run-up to the 11.11 Singles Day Sales – the marketplace’s biggest shopping promotion of the year.

Shoppers can find “best price guarantee” marked on items in the Brand+ channel. If a customer finds a lower price on another selected ecommerce platform within seven days of purchase, AliExpress will refund the difference.

AliExpress UK general manager Bonnie Zhao said: “We are constantly investing to improve the shopping experience for our customers by providing them with high-quality, top brands at competitive prices, delivered quickly. 

“That is why we are making Brand+ available across over 1,500 brands, with more to come on the AliExpress platform. We continue to give customers the widest possible choice of great-value, branded products.

“Our best price guarantee continues our commitment to always helping shoppers save money via AliExpress.”

Consumer research also revealed that 47% of UK customers are more likely to buy an item when a best price guarantee is offered.
