Move to Milton Keynes opens up vacancies
GUS DIY subsidiary Homebase is understood to be on the hunt for 350 head office staff, as it moves its operations from Wallington in Surrey to Argos Retail Group's HQ in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

More than 150 existing Homebase staff are thought to want to stay with the retailer, leaving 350 unfilled vacancies in finance, HR, marketing, retail property operations, supply chain and trading.

About 260 staff in IT and administration will remain at the Wallington site. Argos Retail Group is conducting interviews to fill the remaining jobs at a rate of 50 a day. The transfer to Milton Keynes will commence in September.
