Rapid grocery delivery firm Getir snaps up UK rival Weezy

Turkish fast grocery delivery company Getir has signed a deal to purchase UK rival Weezy in a move that ’further solidifies Getir’s long-term commitment to the UK market.’

The acquisition will see Getir absorb Weezy’s current staff of 700, as well as its four UK fulfilment centres. The financial terms of the deal between the two rapid delivery companies were not disclosed.
