Aldi is set to create an additional 1,600 store roles this year, as its planned store expansion for the year gathers pace.
The discounter said it is targeting some 30 new store openings in 2025 as part of its ongoing £650m investment in its store estate.
The retailer is hiring for store managers, assistant store managers, deputy store managers, store assistants and cleaners.
Aldi is planning new store openings in the coming weeks in Cambridgeshire, Greater Manchester and Lytham all in March.
UK HR director Kelly Stokes said: “Our store colleagues are the best in the business and, as we continue to expand our store network and provide more customers with access to Aldi’s high-quality, affordable products, we’re going to need to grow those store teams with even more amazing people.
“We are committed to creating rewarding careers and offering market-leading pay for all our store colleagues. This year promises to be an exciting year as we bring even more Aldi stores to local communities across Britain.”
Aldi’s announcement comes at a time when many of its supermarket rivals are busily slashing jobs.
Last month, grocery giants Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Tesco all announced job cuts in a bid to slash costs.
