Aldi has announced £100m worth of investment in cutting the prices of 330 everyday products.

The latest round of price cuts take the discounter’s total investment in lowering prices to £300m this year, across more than 1,000 products, to help customers keep “grocery bills as low as possible”.

Aldi said the latest cuts were aimed at “helping support families through the school holidays”.

The price drops are across everyday essentials including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials and personal care products.

Aldi UK chief commercial officer Julie Ashfield said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable. We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”
