Aldi is recruiting hundreds of entry-level store assistant roles across its UK stores as it ramps up store openings.
The discount grocer has created vacancies for more than 450 store assistant roles as it plans to open around 40 new stores in 2026 as part of a £370m investment programme.
Successful applicants will earn £13.50 per hour nationally, and £14.88 within the M25, regardless of the colleagues’ age. This will rise to £14.47 across the country and £15.20 within the M25 based on length of service.
Aldi said no formal qualifications are needed to apply, with the supermarket looking for “friendly, positive” candidates who are comfortable with numbers.
Aldi UK recruitment director Kelly Stokes said: “Whether you’re looking for your first role in retail or a fresh start, Aldi offers market-leading pay, excellent training and real opportunities to build your career.
“From day one, our colleagues are supported with the training and experience they need to succeed, with clear opportunities to progress as their careers develop.
“Our colleagues are what make Aldi such a great place to shop, so we’re always looking for friendly, hardworking people to join our growing teams.”
