Fashion retailer Simply Be has named Heidi Kenyon-Smith as its new general manager from January 2, 2024.

Kenyon-Smith joins Simply Be, owned by N Brown Group, with more than 20 years of industry experience and “significant digital, womenswear and media expertise”.

She held the role of managing director at digital marketing media agency iProspect since May 2021, having been group head of clients at the business.

In her new role at Simply Be, Kenyon-Smith will report directly to Sarah Welsh, N Brown’s chief executive of retail, to “deliver its end-to-end customer experience and ultimately accelerate growth.”

Kenyon-Smith will also head up the delivery of “strategic, commercial and service-led customer outcomes”, taking responsibility for “driving the financial performance of the brand through increased customer loyalty and new market penetration.”

N Brown said in a statement that the appointment reflects the group’s “investment in outstanding talent” and noted that growth of the Simply Be brand plays a “fundamental role” in the success of the group as a whole.

Welsh said: “Heidi joins with a great deal of passion to deliver the evolution of Simply Be across all digital, brand and product touchpoints as we execute our ambition to become the UK’s most inclusive fashion brand for young women.

“Heidi’s digital, product and media experience will no doubt provide instant value and adds to the talent joining the group during our transformation.”
