Tamara Salman, the creative director of the Liberty of London brand, has left the business.

Liberty buying director Ed Burstell is reported to be taking over her responsibilities.

Salman joined Liberty in 2004 and led the revival of the Liberty of London brand, revisiting the department store’s archives to update its range of own brand product and creating a standalone store concept for the label in London’s Sloane Street. However the store was closed down last year after it was sold to Moncler.

It is unclear what prompted Salman’s departure.

Liberty owner property firm MWB appointed Cavendish Corporate Finance and Global Leisure Partners to seek investors for the business. Global supplier Li & Fung and Robert Bensoussan’s Sirius Equity fund have both been linked to offers for the business.

Liberty declined to comment.
