Arcadia owner Sir Philip Green hopes retailers will back his ambitions to open more shopkeeping schools after the success of the first.
The proportion of graduates of the Fashion Retail Academy going into jobs has risen from 50% last year to 60%, the tycoon said, and he would like to open two or three more elsewhere in the country.
The academy held its annual awards on Tuesday.
