PROMOTIONAL RESEARCH

One of the biggest names in global digital commerce will headline Retail Week’s payments masterclass later this month.

David Birch, an internationally renowned author and advisor to the world’s biggest corporations on the future of electronic transactions, will explore the opportunities and pitfalls of a cashless society, and look at whether blockchain will change payments forever.

Birch, listed by Wired magazine as one of the top global sources of business information, and one of the top three most influential London FinTech experts by City AM, will introduce the free Keeping Pace in the Payments Race masterclass in London on May 24.

He joins fellow keynote speakers from Amazon Pay, who will talk about the future of commerce in a connected world; and Accenture, who will provide a complete guide to the PSD2 directive and how retailers need to prepare.

Other confirmed panellists include former Graze chief technology officer Mark Wood and Christer Holloman, co-founder and chief executive of retail finance platform Divido.

The free-to-attend Keeping Pace in the Payments Race masterclass for senior retailers across the sector is part of Retail Week’s Tech series events in the run-up to the two-day Tech festival in September. To confirm your place email gary.dempsey@retail-week.com.
