Ellis joins Ideal as non-exec director

Ideal Shopping Direct has appointed Susan Ellis to its board as non-executive director. Ellis is chairman of financial communications consultancy Weber Shandwick Square Mile.

Ideal Shopping Direct chairman Jim Hodkinson said: 'I am delighted to welcome Susan to the board. She has a strong background in the business world and will bring some new skills and perspectives to our boardroom, and will make a significant contribution to our continuing rapid development.'

This month, the company made its first acquisition, buying TV shopping channel Superstore TV for£1.5 million. It also closed the loss-making Jewellery Vault channel, which was launched last July.

The television shopping specialist operates three channels: Ideal World, Create and Craft and Ideal Vitality.
