The Home Depot is the largest DIY retailer in the US and operates a large number of stores in the neighbouring territories of Canada and Mexico. The retailer is present in every US state and territory, every Canadian province and all 32 districts of Mexico with its 2,200-strong store portfolio. Alongside this, The Home Depot operates several own brands across tools, painting, electrics and plumbing aimed at both DIYers and professional customers. The “One Home Depot” strategy, which began in 2017, saw the retailer invest heavily in its ecommerce proposition, delivery options and multichannel store enhancements, which paid off as it took the lead over its competitor Lowe’s.
