Spar is a leading convenience retail group, which began in 1932 with one store in Holland and has now grown to operate more than 13,000 stores in 48 countries.

In the UK Spar is a leading symbol brand, overseeing a network of independent store owners with around 2,600 stores. While Spar’s retailers remain independent, they benefit from being part of a global brand, with access to private-label lines as well as support from the group on store development, range planning and marketing.

Spar stores serve their local communities, with varying opening hours depending on their location. Typically they open for longer than other stores and offer a range of fresh and ambient groceries, easy meals and food to go.
